Bike Mechanic
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a fun, friendly, self-motivated, recreation-loving individual to represent our company and join our team! Primary responsibilities for this vitally important position within our company are:
1) Manage and work the repair & service department2) Help customers in sales as needed3) Help in other aspects of running a successful and friendly bike shop Repair and Service responsibilities is the #1 priority for this position and would include managing the Bike Repair and Services department and servicing bikes in a timely manner, with quality work, and friendly and professional interactions with customers. See our website's Bike Repair Services page for a basic list of services and repairs this position is responsible for.This important position wears many hats including helping customers with bike and accessories sales, rentals check in & out, helping out with clinics and group rides, and other duties as needed. We enjoy educating people of all ages and abilities about E-Bikes, helping them find the right E-Bike for their needs, and helping improve and enjoy their riding experience. If you enjoy biking and have experience working in and managing a bike repair and service department, we'd like to talk to you.As an E-Bike only sales shop, knowledge of e-bike motors and systems is important. We service all types of bikes - non-electric and electric, but we are known for our expertise of e-bike systems.Responsibilities Assembly and maintenance of e-bikes and non-electric bikes Answer customer questions over the phone Interact and build rapport with customers Obtain all pertinent information from customers in regards to service work (Service writing) Operate the POS system to perform transactions Perform other shop duties as assigned and needed Timely arrival to work and dependability Maintain a clean and professional work environment Qualifications English Fluency Friendly, personable and comfortable working with people Weekend Availability (No Sundays) Previous Bike Mechanical Experience Previous Sales Experience a plus Requirements Ability to lift up to 65 lbs periodically Consistent eagerness to listen, learn, apply knowledge, and accept feedback Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a wide variety of tasks Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to uphold high quality customer service Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the team Ability to problem solve and pay attention to details Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment Recommended Skills Adaptability Attention To Detail Friendliness Interpersonal Skills Maintenance Multitasking Apply to this job.
