Live-in Residential Manager/Home Skills Specialist

Job DescriptionDavis Behavioral Health, Inc.
is currently looking for positive and energetic candidates that will work as a Residential Manager/Home Skills Specialist in co-ed housing unit located in Bountiful, Utah.
As Residential Manager for Davis Behavioral Health, the successful candidate will be required to maintain 20-25 hours per week of office hours with 2 days off per week.
These hours are flexible to allow you to attend class, perform other personal duties, or maintain other employment, if necessary.
The successful applicant will live in a personal apartment within the unit at no cost as a tenant in DBH's housing, required to sign a formal rental agreement and abide by the rules contained therein.
In addition to the free housing, the Residential Manager will be paid for the office hours worked on the unit.
CompensationThe successful candidate will be compensated at the rate of $17.
75 per hour for office hours and other services provided to the residents and other clients at DBH.
Rent, utilities and internet access will be provided by DBH, and may be reported as taxable earnings.
The employee will be expected to provide their own food and other essential living items.
Essential Job FunctionsThe Resident Manager must have a broad base of experience with life circumstances and possess a diverse view of what consumers need to have to better their lives.
The successful candidate must be able to work under supervision and be an effective team member.
The ideal applicant will understand the role of support in helping consumers with complex needs.
The Residential Manager will be required to assist with the following tasks daily:
Provide client transportation as needed for client resources (i.
e.
food bank, shopping, etc.
).
Assist with teaching individual skills, including daily chores in the home and individual living quarters.
Coordinate with DBH maintenance team for all property work orders.
Document consumer progress.
Provide weekly updates to supervisor of consumer needs and behaviors.
Attend weekly coordination of care meetings.
Other assignments as assigned.

Required ExperienceThe selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample.
Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
The successful candidates must have the ability to model and teach independent living skills.
In addition, the Home Skills Specialist will be required to be a positive role model for how to spend leisure time, healthy and appropriate activities to do during down time/when bored.
They will need to conduct discussions and teach basic hygiene, good boundaries, housekeeping, cooking, and the ability to face life's challenges.
Preference will be given for applicants who have proficient computer skills and experience/education in social work or psychology.
